- Plains All American Pipeline closed the acquisition of the Silver Creek gathering system for approximately $585 million on October 1, 2026, and reaffirmed full-year 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance of $2.880 billion plus or minus $50 million. (self-reported) [cites: 1793972516732301272]

## The refiners pay down

Delek US had the biggest numbers of the day. The company says it reported record third-quarter 2026 net income of $1,133.8 million and adjusted EBITDA of $1,280.4 million, and it increased its Enterprise Optimization Plan annual run-rate cash flow improvement guidance to at least $250 million. It expects to repay the outstanding $850 million term loan during the fourth quarter of 2026, expects to repurchase up to $100 million of common stock in the same quarter, and increased its regular quarterly dividend by approximately 18% to $0.30 per share. That is a quarter being spent on the balance sheet and on shareholders in almost equal measure. [cites: 1793964827879256446]

Calumet tells a similar story at a smaller scale. The company says it reported net income of $273.3 million for the third quarter of 2026, or $2.91 per basic common share, and adjusted EBITDA with tax attributes of $347.2 million. It has retired approximately $265 million of debt since July 2026. Its Specialty Products and Solutions segment reported $248.1 million in adjusted EBITDA and its Montana Renewables segment reported $110.6 million of adjusted EBITDA with tax attributes. The headline profit also carried two large hits the filing discloses: a $113.8 million unrealized loss for derivatives and $176.7 million in non-cash RINs-related items. [cites: 1793970279558294864]

## The pipelines expand and distribute

Plains All American Pipeline paired its earnings with a deal and an expansion. The company says it reported third-quarter 2026 net income attributable to Plains All American Pipeline of $363 million and adjusted EBITDA attributable to the partnership of $711 million. It closed the acquisition of the Silver Creek gathering system for approximately $585 million on October 1, 2026, and it is expanding its Permian joint venture gathering system in the Midland Basin, adding approximately 270,000 dedicated acres supported by 10-year agreements. It reaffirmed full-year 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance of $2.880 billion plus or minus $50 million, reported a pro forma leverage ratio of approximately 3.6 times, and declared a quarterly cash distribution of $0.4175 per unit. Global Partners grew and lengthened its runway at the same time. The company says it reported net income of $52.4 million for the third quarter of 2026 and adjusted EBITDA of $122.9 million, on total sales of $6.7 billion. It reported distributable cash flow of $70.1 million, declared a cash distribution of $0.7850 per unit, and extended its credit agreement maturity date to October 16, 2031. Extending a credit line by years while raising the distribution is the opposite of hoarding cash for a downturn. [cites: 1793970831677296389]

Ring Energy did the tidying-up version of the same job. The company says it reported third-quarter revenue of $102.3 million and adjusted EBITDA of $57.1 million, alongside a net loss of $16.6 million. It completed $30.5 million of non-core asset divestitures and acquired $18.8 million of leasehold interests in the Central Basin Platform during the quarter, and it reduced borrowings under its revolving credit facility by $10.0 million to $350.0 million as of September 30, 2026. It projects fourth-quarter oil production between 12,900 and 13,500 barrels per day. Selling what does not fit and buying what does, while paying down the revolver, is portfolio management rather than growth for its own sake. [cites: 1794000048312464055]

Delek Logistics, the pipeline arm of the Delek group, closes the pattern. It reported net income of $47.4 million and adjusted EBITDA of $142.9 million for the third quarter of 2026, and it raised its full-year 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance to $530 million to $560 million. Its leverage ratio decreased to 3.85 times as of September 30, 2026, it completed construction of the integrated sour gas system at the Libby complex, and it declared a quarterly cash distribution of $1.140 per unit. It expects an incremental $60 million of adjusted EBITDA in 2027 from its 2026 growth capital program, so the deleveraging and the growth spending sit in the same filing. [cites: 1793965013962256958]

The shared logic is easy to see. Refining margins were strong enough to produce a record quarter at Delek, and the companies chose to send the cash to lenders, to unitholders and to buybacks rather than to the biggest new projects they could find. Plains is the exception that proves the point: it spent $585 million on gathering assets, but it did so with 10-year agreements behind the expansion and a distribution still being paid. This is an industry converting a good quarter into a stronger balance sheet while it can. [cites: 1793964827879256446, 1793972516732301272, 1793970279558294864]

## What is still unresolved

- How oil price volatility affects Plains' momentum into 2027, which the filing flags as an open question.
- The final impact of renewable fuel credit adjustments and small refinery exemptions on Delek's full-year 2026 results.
- Whether Ring Energy's fourth-quarter production guidance of 12,900 to 13,500 barrels of oil per day is met.

## Decision card

- **Useful for:** Professionals tracking energy balance sheets and distributions; Anyone following refining margins and pipeline expansions; Readers comparing deleveraging across the energy chain
- **Not for:** Anyone looking for a call on oil prices; Readers who need the full earnings calls
- **Compare against:** The guidance raises from companies in other sectors; The debt behind the AI buildout in the bond market
