[cites: 1793741578200347537] - The Bengals play the Falcons in Madrid on Sunday, November 8, 2026, with kickoff at 9:30 a.m. ET. [cites: 1793717653525254191] - The Bengals are coordinating a 201-member traveling party for the Madrid game and transporting 2,000 pounds of just-in-case equipment. [cites: 1793748164338288247] - The Packers are partnering with the Kansas City Chiefs to host a pop-up retail shop in Munich from November 12 through November 14, 2026. [cites: 1793723854943072613] - More than 20 million people play flag football worldwide, and participation among young women on high school flag football teams increased nearly 60% from 2024 to 2025. [cites: 1793741578200347537] ## A new league for a growing game The NFL and TMRW Sports have unveiled Premier Flag, a new professional flag football league scheduled to launch in summer 2027. The league is supported by an investor group including all 32 NFL club owners, is working with Populous to design its inaugural stadium, and will stage its inaugural showcase during Super Bowl LXI week. Transwestern is leading the host city and league hub selection process. [cites: 1793741578200347537] Premier Flag ambassadors are advising TMRW Sports on player experience elements including rules and training. The timing connects to the Olympic calendar: flag football will make its Olympic debut at the 2028 Los Angeles Games. [cites: 1793741578200347537] The participation case for the league is stated in the announcement itself: more than 20 million people play flag football worldwide, and participation among young women on high school flag football teams increased nearly 60% from 2024 to 2025. This suggests the NFL is betting that flag football's growth audience — younger and more female than the traditional tackle audience — is worth a professional league of its own, rather than treating flag as only a youth pathway. The game will air nationally in the U.S. on NFL Network, locally in Cincinnati on WLWT, and in Spain on CUATRO. U.S. fans can stream through NFL+ or ESPN+, international fans through DAZN excluding China, and Bob Wischusen will call play-by-play for the TV broadcast. Radio coverage in Cincinnati is available on 700 WLW, 1530 WCKY and 102.7 WEBN. [cites: 1793717653525254191] The Bengals enter the game with a 5-2 record and the Falcons with a 3-5 record, and the team is traveling to Madrid on the evening of November 3, 2026. Around the game, the NFL is hosting an NFL Experience at Plaza de España on Friday and Saturday, with access requiring preregistration via the NFL One Pass App, and operating an NFL House at Plaza San Martin in partnership with Adobe. The official NFL Shop will be located at Bernabéu Stadium from Thursday through Monday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. [cites: 1793727772275403912] Fan events fill the week: Ocean Rock Bar, an official Bengals bar in Madrid, will host a fan meetup on Saturday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and a watch party on Sunday starting at 1:30 p.m. local time, while an official Bengals party will be held at El Retiro Park near Florida Park on Friday from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. The week reads less like a single away game and more like a pop-up fan festival built around one. [cites: 1793727772275403912] ## The logistics of moving a team The Bengals are coordinating a 201-member traveling party for the Madrid game, using a 306-seat American Airlines jet with 60 lay-flat seats for an eight-hour flight, and transporting 2,000 pounds of just-in-case equipment. The team will practice at the Spanish Football Federation's facility, La Ciudad del Futbol, and set up its locker room at Bernabéu Stadium, with equipment shipped back to Paycor Stadium on Monday following the game. [cites: 1793748164338288247] Jeff Brickner has been planning the Madrid trip for six months, and customs requirements for the trip include inventorying the country of origin for every item in the trunks. The team's chef, Ory Maxwell, is expected to prepare a daily dish with a Spanish flair. The detail that stands out is the customs inventory: international games turn ordinary team operations into an export exercise, and the six-month planning horizon shows how far in advance that work starts. [cites: 1793748164338288247] ## Munich gets a shop The Packers are partnering with the Kansas City Chiefs to host a pop-up retail shop in Munich, operating from November 12 through November 14, 2026. This is the second pop-up retail experience the Packers have conducted internationally, and the shop will feature limited-edition Oktoberfest-themed merchandise. The retail experience is part of the NFL's Global Markets Program. [cites: 1793723854943072613] A Packers Huddle event in Munich will feature Randall Cobb and Scott Wells, taking place on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Nachtkantine. The Packers observed encouraging growth in international online orders from Germany, which is the closest thing in the available claims to a stated reason for the shop: demand already exists, and the pop-up meets it in person rather than creating it from scratch.
